Undergraduate Internships
Our university internship programs evaluate student profiles to place them with organizations throughout Spain for short-term internships, often ranging from 8-12 weeks. Our internship placement process involves working one-on-one with students and their home institution to ensure a company is found that matches their academic and professional goals. We sometimes place students within our own schools as English teachers as well. No two internships are alike, and we can provide recommendations and guidance on which professional areas to explore. We can also provide accommodation services, cultural activities and even Spanish language classes. To be eligible for an internship, students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and receiving credits from their host institution for the duration of their stay.
Faculty-led programs
Faculty choose Carlos V for our experience creating specialized faculty-led programs that are tailored to their students´ precise needs and interests. Our modern school facilities in Seville, Malaga and Madrid proven experience developing programs in other Spanish cities, as well as agreements with universities throughout the country create an environment conducive to learning and cultural immersion.
Choose from a diverse selection of Spanish courses, ranging from Beginner I to Advanced Spanish Grammar. We also offer tailor-made classes, including conversation and composition courses, Spanish for Business, and culture classes on Spanish art, history, film, and literature. We specialize in customized faculty-led programs catering to educational groups across diverse fields. Faculty value our meticulous planning, logistical support, and extensive array of options to fulfill their educational goals. We stand by the motto «Anything is possible» because you have the flexibility to choose your preferred dates, duration of study, academic components, excursions, service-learning opportunities, and housing preferences. Faculty may also incorporate activities related to research projects or company visits to Spanish businesses within their sector.
For all programs, we offer a wide variety of cultural workshops, tours and excursions to multiple cities as well as services such as 24/7 emergency support, medical insurance, flights, accommodations, and transportation.
Our classrooms are fully equipped with the latest technology and wi-fi. Classes can be held at our Carlos V schools in Seville, Malaga or Madrid or organized at separate facilities throughout Spain. Student life
Carlos V Education is fully equipped to respond to emergencies (see our risk plan here) that may arise during a student’s stay. Our bilingual staff, detailed emergency response plan and insurance offerings allow us to provide support in times of need. In addition to medical insurance that we can provide to students and faculty during their stay in Spain, we also have our own extensive liability coverage to ensure peace of mind while traveling with us.
For groups
If up to 10% of students withdraw from the program, each student will be reimbursed 80% of the total cost per student provided that the University notifies the Company at least 30 days prior to the arrival date. If the University notifies the Company less than 30 days before the arrival date, students will not receive a reimbursement from the Company. If more than 10% of students withdraw from the program, 10% of the total cost of the program will be reimbursed and equally distributed among the students provided that the University notifies the Company at least 30 days prior to the arrival date.
For individual students and interns
Program dates may be modified without penalty up to 60 days prior to arrival, subject to availability. Cancellations or postponements made between 60 and 30 days before the start date will incur a penalty of up to 20% of the total program cost, while no refunds or credits are issued for any changes made within 30 days of arrival or once the program has officially commenced.
Going abroad is an amazing experience, but it also comes with real-world responsibilities. Students studying abroad with Carlos V Education are considered not only guests in Spain, but also representatives of their home university and country.
To ensure everyone has a safe and successful experience, we ask all students to commit to these guidelines:
- Take your studies seriously: Show up on time, participate in class, and do your own work. Follow the same honor code and codes of conduct that you would adhere to in your home institution.
- Follow all national and local laws: Respect all Spanish laws and local rules in your host city.
- Be a good neighbor: Respect your host family’s home or residence rules, your fellow students, and the local community.
- Respect our team: Treat staff, teachers, and facilities with care.
- Act responsibly: Maintain the same level of maturity and honesty you would at your own university or community back home.
