Training in football, learning Spanish and discovering a new culture can all be part of the same experience. The collaboration between Sevilla FC and Carlos V Education brings together academic education, language learning and sport through different programmes aimed at international students and players.
Seville thus becomes a meeting point for young people who want to improve their sporting skills while studying Spanish and discovering the culture and lifestyle of the city.
Much more than training
One of the main projects is the Sevilla FC Talent Development Programme, aimed at footballers from different countries. Participants combine training sessions, matches and sporting development with Spanish classes and academic support at Carlos V Education.
During their stay, players can take part in individual and group training sessions, matches and tournaments, as well as receive psychological and nutritional support and access performance analysis tools.
Spanish inside and outside the classroom
Language is also an essential part of the experience. Students can attend classes adapted to their level, with a particular focus on communication, conversation and the Spanish used in everyday situations.
Learning continues after class. Cultural activities, excursions and interaction with students from other nationalities provide opportunities to practise Spanish while discovering Seville and other destinations in Andalusia.
An experience for international groups
The Spanish Football Summer Immersion programme is designed for schools, academies and groups looking for a shorter stay. Over one or two weeks, participants combine football training, Spanish classes and cultural activities.
Each programme can be adapted to the students’ age, sporting level, length of stay and the group’s academic objectives.
Football during a longer stay
For those who want to stay longer in Spain, the Spanish Soccer Elite Program combines a long-term Spanish course with training sessions alongside Sevilla FC.
The programme includes four training sessions per week, technical, tactical and physical preparation, and regular friendly matches. At the same time, Spanish classes allow participants to progress in the language and enjoy a more complete immersion in Spain.
From the pitch to sports management
The collaboration also extends to those who want to explore football from a different perspective. The Master’s Degree in Sports Management and Innovation, developed together with Sevilla FC and Carlos V Education and accredited by UCAM, covers areas such as technology, strategy, data analysis and digital transformation applied to the sports industry.
It is aimed at university graduates, professionals, international students and anyone interested in sport business and innovation.
Seville, a meeting point
Football, language and culture come together in Seville. These programmes allow students from different countries to train, study and share an international experience in a city closely connected to football.
Some words are learned in the classroom. And others, on the pitch.
