Learning a language is not just about memorising vocabulary or mastering grammar. At Carlos V Education, we are certain of one thing: the best way to learn a language is by living it.
That is why, in addition to our Spanish programmes for international students, we have developed PCTO workshops specially designed for foreign groups, combining language learning, practical skills and future-oriented training. We offer them in Seville, Málaga and Madrid, with a dynamic, participative and realistic approach.
What are PCTO workshops?
PCTO workshops (Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento) help students develop key skills for their academic and professional future. It is not only about “learning languages”, but also about working on competences such as communication, initiative, cooperation and problem-solving, always from a practical perspective.
Languages, immersion and active learning
At Carlos V Education we follow an active methodology: sessions combine explanation, practice and constant participation. The goal is for students to use the language as a real tool, gaining confidence and fluency while learning useful and up-to-date content.
Our PCTO workshops: useful training and current topics
One of our most complete workshops is European Citizenship, where students work on topics such as the Schengen Area, the European education system, the European Health Insurance Card and the Europass CV. It is a very effective way to learn vocabulary and expressions related to international mobility and the academic world.
We also offer the Hospitality workshop, ideal for groups interested in a professional approach. Students practise real-life situations from the sector: making reservations, welcoming guests, handling requests, writing an order, and even dealing with complaints and claims.
The Sustainability and Environment workshop focuses on one of today’s most important topics. Through dynamic activities, students work on the Sustainable Development Goals and reflect on issues such as responsible consumption, climate action, equality and sustainable cities, including examples from the Andalusian context.
For those looking for more future-focused preparation, we offer the Introduction to the World of Work workshop, where students learn through a practical and motivating approach, even creating their own company in groups while developing skills such as initiative and teamwork.
Finally, the STEM workshop (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) provides a modern and interdisciplinary approach, focused on problem-solving, critical thinking and applied learning.
Why take a PCTO programme in Spain with Carlos V Education?
Doing a PCTO programme in Spain has one clear advantage: learning becomes a real experience. At Carlos V Education we offer workshops where the language is practised in authentic situations and through relevant content, in a cultural environment that motivates students, encourages participation and speeds up progress.
Because learning a language is not just studying: it is communicating, discovering and growing.
